Art Upload & Guide

Enabling Inksoft's end users to upload and manage their art.

My first initiative was to understand InkSoft user’s pain points when adding art files to their account. After conducting an analysis through user observation, I learned that there were platform shortcomings that required them to continuously switch between two windows, often leading to confusion and lost time with very little progress. In collaboration with the product team, I redesigned the art sync flow and added a mobile version. Using this flow we created an art management tool to simplify the process to one where users could import their files, usually in less than 3 clicks — or taps if using the new sync tool in the mobile view.

In addition to the simple uploader, I couldn't ignore another glaring problem. These users who worked with art files every day still struggled to understand how to correctly format digital art files.
This is a completely understandable problem. Especially when you consider that many of the platform's users began their career before the digital revolution.
To help with this problem, I put together a printable guide that Inksoft's clients can use to figure out the best way to save their files based on their desire to print or store the files digitally.

Selected pages from an art guide, I created to help InkSoft support troubleshoot artwork uploading issues.
